Alexis was born and raised near Denver Colorado. They have been building their art and skills through multiple mediums throughout their life, since before they can remember. Alexis
started how most artists do, coloring in a coloring book as a child.
Somewhere during their teens they got interested in anime and fanfiction, which turned into doodling and illustrating original
characters inserts with their favorite characters. This, of course evolved even further, into just drawing the characters by themselves, or other subjects like Pokémon, then to dream tattoo designs.
Alexis started sewing in the early 2000’s with simple things like pillow cases and napkins/table runners. That expanded to
dresses and other clothing, then simple costumes, then it expanded even further to solely cosplay. Alexis started cosplaying in 2013 after a friend encouraged them to get into it. Alexis has learned so much from cosplay, how to alter and even make their own sewing patterns, how to make armor and props. Alexis has created somewhere around 60 cosplays during this time, as well as receiving a couple awards along the way for their work.
Alexis has graduated Cum Laude Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with their Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration, in hopes of using it towards their tattooing career. Alexis also completed a college level graphic design class in high school at Bollman Technical Education Center, as well as successfully completing a graphic design certification program at The Art Institute of Colorado, in 2015. Alexis noticed that they just weren’t feeling it when it came to graphic design, it just wasn’t where their passion lied.
Tattoos have been important to Alexis since they first saw their mother’s tattoo at just three years old. Alexis fell in love with the idea that the skin on our bodies can be used as a display, almost like a walking canvas. Alexis’s art is just as unique, witchy, and gothic as they are. Alexis uses their wild and creative mind to design unique and custom tattoos and art pieces. Alexis fell in love with art through seeing the many people with beautiful tattoos walk by, as well as artists like Alphonse Mucha, who created amazing art nouveau work. Heavily influenced by many tattoo artists across the world, Alexis hopes to use their unique style to create beautiful and meaningful pieces, filled with the intricate details they love so much. Alexis loves to illustrate with some of the things they love the most, anime, video games, Halloween, horror, and anything else under the sun of nerdy themes. Alexis can’t wait to see where they go in life, within the tattooing industry, or else where.
